| Screamer DESCRIPTION: The Screamer effect is designed to add frequency band limited distortion to the incoming signal. Resonance can be set to emphasize the cuttoff frequency. Result is a 'screaming' sound added to a quiet or dull source, to provide 'a body'. SIGNAL IN ---> FILTER WITH Q ---> DISTORTION ---> SIGNAL OUT CONTROLLERS: ON/OFF - bypass cutoff - filter cutoff frequency Q - filter Quality value power - the amount of the shaping effect applied to the input; equal to the power that the input signal is raised low/band/hi - gain for lowpass, bandpass and highpass filters mix - mix direct signal with effect --- version 1.02, July 2020 - added BSB information comments version 1.01, May 2020 - added comments on controllers version 1.0, Octobre 2019 - initial version | Distortion | @menno0 | Effect | Jul 23, 2020 | .beffect |
| diodeRing The opcode diode_ringmod is not part of the official Csound ditribution, but is a Csound-plugin. It can be found here: https://github.com/csound-plugins/csound-plugins (The Blue effect is grey to reflect the status) Please build the plugins yourself in order to use this effect! DESCRIPTION: diode_ringmod is a ring modulator with optional non-linearities. It implements a built-in sinusoidal carrier signal. The carrier is passed through a diode simulation prior to being multiplied with the input. This signal passes through a feedback stage. CONTROLLERS: ON/OFF - bypass Frequency - the carrier's frequency (a sine wave) Feedback - the amount of feedback Linearity - the amount of non linearities diode - if on, the carrier is passed through a diode rectification stage mix - mix direct signal with effect --- version 1.02, July 2020 - added BSB information comments version 1.01, May 2020 - added comments on controllers version 1.0, September 2019 - initial version by Menno Knevel | Distortion | @menno0 | Effect | Jul 23, 2020 | .beffect |
| ladspa harmonic gen a wrapper of ladspa plugin 1220 called Harmonic generator, created by Steve Harris. Copyright: The GNU General Public Licence. plugin has mono inputs, mono outputs. The dssi opcodes are wrapping the ladspa plugin so it can be used as an effect in Blue. The PATH for the ladspa plugins on my Linux systemm is /usr/lib/ladspa. Be sure to set the right PATH if you run OSX or Windows. DESCRIPTION: Allows you to add harmonics and remove the fundamental from any audio signal. CONTROLLERS: ON/OFF - bypass File Selector - set path for harmonic_gen_1220.so Fundamental - The amplitude of the fundamental of the signal, reduce it to 0 to remove the base signal altogether, or -1 to phase invert it 2/3...10th harmonic - The 2/3...10th harmonic, its frequency is 2/3...10 times the frequency of the fundamental --- version 1.02, July 2020 - added BSB information comments version 1.01, May 2020 - added comments on controllers version 1.0, June 2019 - initial version by Menno Knevel | Distortion | @menno0 | Effect | Jul 23, 2020 | .beffect |
| ladspa WASPnoisifier a wrapper of ladspa plugin 2544 called NoisifierS, created by Artemiy I. Pavlov. Copyright: "(c)2005 SineShine" plugin has stereo inputs, stereo outputs. The dssi opcodes are wrapping the ladspa plugin so it can be used as an effect in Blue. The PATH for the ladspa plugins on my Linux systemm is /usr/lib/ladspa. Be sure to set the right PATH if you run OSX or Windows. DESCRIPTION: This effect produces amplitude modulation to the input signal using a variable noise source (which works exactly like the Variable Noise generator in this plugin set). Very useful for creating various noisy/shadow sounds. CONTROLLERS: ON/OFF - bypass Noise Type - 1 = hold, 2 = shot Noise density - 1 = zero (white noise), 0 = very stepped (digital or rarefied shot noise) Balance - mix direct signal with effect --- version 1.02, July 2020 - added BSB information comments version 1.01, May 2020 - added comments on controllers - improved Noise Type handling version 1.0, June 2019 - initial version by Menno Knevel | Distortion | @menno0 | Effect | Jul 23, 2020 | .beffect |
| RingXtended DESCRIPTION: RingXtended is an effect that uses 2 methods for "carrying" the incoming signal (modulator): the Julian Parker ringmodulation (implementation in a UDO by Steven Yi) and the "usual" multiplication with a wave. I call it Xtended because i wanted several ways to ringmodulate and "mangle" the incoming signal. CONTROLLERS: ON/OFF - bypass ringmethod - Dropdown List to choose Julian Parker (more distortion) or Simple Multiplication method waveform - sine, saw, square, pulse wave or soundfile wave DC offset - can give extar effect sometime by moving the offset of the signal filter - simple lowpass filter phase - gives mono signals some stereo depth wet/dry - gain of effect/direct signal fine/coarse frequency - set fine/coarse frequency of carrier wave Soundfile pitch - set pitch of soundfile Soundfile start sample - start position in soundfile Soundfile loop start - just that Soundfile loop end - just that --- version 1.42, july 2020 - added BSB information comments version 1.41, May 2020 - added comments on controllers version 1.4 beta, April 2019 - spatialize not to 1 but .95 (because 0 = 1) - stereo when stereo soundfile is added version 1.3, February 2019 - added on/off button version 1.2, February 2019 - stereo version - added phaseknob for right channel to spatialize a mono sound version 1.1, February 2018 - added warning when no or invalid impulse sound is used - if no or incorrect impulse, then the effect is bypassed version 1, november 2017 - initial version by Menno Knevel - uses 4 waveforms to carry the incoming signal: sine, saw, square, pulse and soundfile - the soundfile modulation option is done by a looping soundfile with pitch control - a lowpass filter for the carrier signal to filter out some of the harmonics - option to mix dry/wet signal - 2 faders for optimizing the frequency of sine, saw, square or pulse wave - offset option to adjust the amount of sidebands | Distortion | @menno0 | Effect | Jul 23, 2020 | .beffect |
| Xciter DESCRIPTION: uses the exciter opcode. Filtered distortion to add brilliance to a signal. Intended for a monophone sound only, to give it more presence in the total mix. CONTROLLERS: ON/OFF - bypass frequency - the lower end of the harmonics created ceiling - the upper end of the harmonics created harmonics - amount of harmonics blend - blend between 2nd and 3rd order harmonics dry - gain of the incoming signal wet - gain of effect only compare - a second bypass to quickly compare the result with the incoming signal --- version 1.22, July 2020 - added BSB information comments version 1.21, May 2020 - added comments on controllers version 1.2, january 2019 - added on/off button version 1.1, january 2018 - added compare fuction to quickly compare the incoming signal with the effect version 1, november 2017 - one fader for dry signal, one fader for mixing in the exciter | Distortion | @menno0 | Effect | Jul 23, 2020 | .beffect |
| Newtonator v1.0 The Newtonator is an FSU distortion unit of my own design that is more than capable of mangling the input audio beyond recognition. It is also capable of more subtle distortion, and can act as a low-pass filter with the correct settings. Please read the comments for instructions. | Distortion | @mbechard | Effect | Jan 8, 2008 | .beffect |
